Three Turkish soldiers killed, one wounded in a clash with Kurdish forces in Sirnak province

KDN SIRNAK (KDN) – Three members of the Turkish security forces were killed in an attack by Kurdish People’s Protection Units, or HPG in Turkey’s southeastern Kurdish province of Sirnak. Kurdish forces attacked a convoy carrying Turkish security forces at around 8 a.m. with long-barreled guns on the road connecting Sirnak and the town of Balveren. Two soldiers and one village guard were killed. One village guard and some soldier were taken to a local hospital with injuries. Following Turkish bombardment of Kurdish civilian areas in Qandil region in southern Kurdistan, Kurdish forces have geared up their operations against Turkish forces across Kurdistan.
